I visted my 6th Georgia State Park! I’m on roll. I started this journey last year and its been an adventure. Providence Canyon which is sometimes called Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon”.
Such a great and surprising location. Based on poor farming techniques, the land erosion became a canyon in relatively quick time. The hikes are not overly tasking and easy to walk. The multiple views, rock designs, and colors are breathtaking. Upper rim hike is nice, but I preferred the bottom of the canyon. It can be wet and muddy in the bottom, so plan footwear accordingly.
Overall, it is a great place for a nice hike with amazing scenery to soak in. Good for all: kids, adults, & dog friendly so it makes for a win win situation. Terrain on the loop trail was easy to handle & the canyons are gorgeous. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a good time out on a trail
Thank you for stopping by!
