It’s easy to see why Amicalola Falls State Park is one of the most popular Georgia State Parks with 829 acres of beautiful North Georgia mountain wilderness in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

So far, out of the six Georgia State Parks I’ve visted, Amicalola Falls State Park  is more of a hike that’s great for the heart.  It is a work out and it is less than an hour and half away from Atlanta.

I love a good hiking adventure. There are many hidden treasures here in Georgia. A simple hike to an exquisite waterfall. This made my Saturday perfect!
